Thai Room Restaurant
Our Beauregard is the same General PGT
Beauregard who fought in the Civil War or the War Between the
After the war, he
retired to New Orleans where he became successful in trade and
developed an affinity for flavorful spiced food and classical
ambiance, a trademark of the gentleman.
At Beauregardís Thai Room today we have
expanded that ambiance.
Our building is an original Richmond classic.
The rear walled patio is designed after the Three Sisters
Courtyard in New Orleans.
Our front patio extends an open welcome to casual
hospitality. The upstairs dining parlor is draped for two or
larger parties. In
keeping with Mr. Beauregardís taste for flavorful food, our
gourmet chef David prepares classic Thai dishes in Richmondís
first and finest Thai Restaurant.
Beauregard's Thai Room, Richmond's first Thai
restaurant, was voted Richmond's "Best Exotic Food" in 1994 and
"Best Asian Restaurant in 1997 and 2002".
The Thai Room is also known for its unrivaled
home-made ice creams.
The Wall Street Journal in describing
Richmond pointed out that even the city's Thai restaurant was
known as Beauregard's Thai Room.
